How we work in the USA

Obviously, it is important for any English language publisher to be able to sell their books both in the USA and the UK. Although there are plenty of differences between the markets, spelling not being the least of these, a book that has been a success in one country will often perform similarly in the other.

Our representatives in the US are Consortium Book Services:

Who both market and distribute our titles. We generally publish titles in the US at least three months after the UK pub date. This not only allows time to ship the books over, but also gives them more chance of getting publicit and reviews.

Although we are repped and distributed by Consortium, we also need someone to look after book publicity. This is taken care of by Meryl Zegarek:

We always try to arrange as much activity as possible for our authors in the USA, with book tours, talks and signings. If you live in the US and want to find out more about one of our titles or authors please don't hesitate to contact us.

This year, we have also decided to work with the Literary Ventures Fund to promote our title Feather Man. The Literary Ventures Fund is a not for profit organization that helps publishers promote and sell titles of great litererary merit. Our hope is that with their expertise, Feather Man will get the boost it needs to be successful in America.

Recent titles that have been especially successes in the US include:

Waiting Period

The Flea Palace

Gothic Fantasy

K: The Art of Love

The Crafter Culture Handbook
